PAWtesbery PETS has been my dream for a long time.

The first thing I did was to attend Merrist Wood Agricultural College studying for my National Diploma in Animal Management, which I qualified for with a triple distinction. I have also completed a course in Kennel Management, passed a Pet Shop management exam and passes in level 1 and 2 in Dog Grooming.

After I left College, I worked at Notcutts Garden Centre for two and a half year’s part and full time. It was whilst working there that I learned more about Animal Care and customer service. A lot of customers would ask if I knew of any one who would look after their pets while they went on holiday; it was then that I decided to board pets from my home.

I now have a small number of regular customers that return year after year. I also found that there was a need for a Dog Walker in the area and decided I would incorporate this into the service. This was when I decided it was time to take the leap and make for a complete career change. For extra pocket money I worked in a Grooming parlour in Fleet where I learned more about customer service and the animal care business as a whole.

Once my dog walking had successfully taken off I decided to go alone and, with the help from family, friends and other people in the business, I gathered all the information that I needed and started PAWtesbery PETs.
